Connie's
Piano & Violin Studio
TESTIMONIAL
Mrs. Connie Zoppi has been teaching my boys – Krystian and Brian – two instruments, piano and violin, for several years. She is dedicated to teaching music and it is evident in her every single lesson. She puts a big focus and learning basics first and then she gradually adds more complicated tasks according to the skills level. She reinforces the learning by giving stickers at the end of the lesson according to accomplished skill especially in the initial phase of learning. She is persistent in teaching new skills and she does not move forward until my boys are comfortable and proficient with the learned skill. Mrs. Zoppi’s effort in teaching is ALWAYS 100% in every single lesson. She starts the class on time and never cuts the lesson short. She teaches kids to be respectful and responsible. She wants them to independently organize their notes, take care of their books and instruments, do independent tuning ahead of the lesson so that all the time can be dedicated to learning their assignments. When my boys are stuck on something she records their performance and plays it back to discuss the issues that she wants to focus on and work on improvements. Mrs. Zoppi makes all of us feel that music is an important aspect of their learning process and she teaches us how to appreciate music in our lives. She encourages us to go to concerts and listen to music in our free time as a family. She gives us recommendations what pieces to focus on so it so it can help my boys in learning their assigned homework. She encourages me and my husband to take an active role in teaching our boys by pointing out important parts of her lesson and making sure that we as parents understand what to pay attention to during the week the boys are practicing their assignments. Thanks to her approach to music I myself started searching for new pieces and appreciating the beauty of classical music. In addition Mrs. Zoppi organizes recital once a year and she put a lot of pride and her personal time in preparing the recital. She encourages boys to practice more and pay attention to details so they can play their musical pieces as well as they can and are proud of their accomplishments; She also works with group of children on playing their pieces together to show them that music is even more beautiful when shared with others. I personally recommend and will keep recommending Mrs. Zoppi to my friends. She is a great teacher and we are really lucky work with her. It is being a great pleasure to have Mrs. Zoppi as a violin and piano teacher to Krystian and Brian. Even though music is a very difficult skill for them to learn they want to continue learning both instruments and never even once mentioned quitting or getting a different teacher.
